As part of our expanding BMW product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch our induction kit upgrade for the BMW G87 M2, G80 M3 and G82 M4 models, suitable for track or fast road use.

Developed in-house at AIRTEC's UK headquarters, we have created a complete solution to enhance the stock air intake system to allow more flow whilst maintaining low intake temperatures, improving response, sound and aesthetics in the engine bay.

Having already designed a number of closed induction kits for other performance models, we wanted to develop an intake package for the G8x series to offer significant improvements over standard kits and over other kits on the market.

We started with a 3D scan of the engine compartment so we could use a CAD program to calculate the most efficient use of space with a perfect fit.

We therefore opted to use the original BMW airbox bases, with enlarged, two-piece, laser-cut covers. This increases the airbox capacity and allows for the installation of 80mm conical air filters, while retaining the original front air intake, which ensures a constant flow of fresh air into the airbox.

The covers feature vents that promote airflow by allowing air to pass through the filter and then out. Our team of perfectionist engineers also ensured that both airbox covers are perfectly parallel to the strut bar, for a harmonious aesthetic in the engine bay.

The straight intake manifold retains the original fittings, but features a continuous 80mm diameter to minimize stress all the way to the turbo. The CNC-machined connectors allow the use of the original O-rings and hose clamps. Using the original airbox bases also allows the original silentblocs to be retained, thus reducing vibration.

The result is increased power, better throttle response, increased induction noise and a more pleasing engine bay appearance.

The kit is a direct replacement that requires no additional drilling or cutting to fit and comes complete with all relevant fittings and fixings, along with detailed installation instructions.
